The Seafood Capital of South Carolina, Murrells Inlet boasts a wealth of quality restaurants and bars, many with spectacular views of the Inlet. Situated between Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet has become a popular nightspot for visitors to the area.
Murrells Inlet Marshwalk
There are many, many restaurants all along the Inlet but the busiest concentration borders the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, a half mile boardwalk the runs parallel to several marsh view restaurants before extending out into the inlet.
Many of the restaurants have regular live entertainment which have helped to make it one of the most popular nightspots in the area.
Aside from the restaurants, the Marshwalk area is the stepping off point for many boating activities.
See the Marshwalk web site for full details.
For those visitors looking to make Murrells Inlet their base we offer high quality accommodation right there in the Inlet. See our page on Inlet Sports Lodge for details.
Situated in the Marshwalk area are many long established restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets including Bovines, Wahoo’s Fish House, Dave’s Dockside, Drunken Jacks, Creek Ratz and Dead Dog Saloon.
A few minutes south you will find the oldest established restaurant in Murrells Inlet, The Hot Fish Club. Next door is one of the newest establishments, King Street Grille. Nance’s Seafood Restaurant is next to the that. All three enjoy, arguably the most spectacular views of the inlet. Meanwhile, across the street is another well established local favourite, Russell’s Seafood Grill.
Attached to our our featured accommodation, Inlet Sports Lodge, is Italian restaurant Cōsta Coastal Kitchen & Bar.
There are numerous other restaurants, bars and even fresh fish markets, scattered along the Inlet.
It is difficult to find a comprehensive, up to date directory of all the area restaurants but this seems a reasonable source.
Murrells Inlet offers a wide range of water based activities from kayaking to pleasure boat cruises, sea fishing trips to small boat hire.
Pawleys Island is just 30 minutes South of Myrtle Beach and 90 Minutes North of Charleston so you can enjoy the contrasting attractions of three destinations from your Pawleys Island base…
