We will shortly be heading off to our winter home to enjoy some golfing in the Carolinas. So this seems the perfect time to talk about this great golfing area.
Whatever the time of year, South Carolina is a great place to golf. We offer five great destination covering the South Carolina coastline from Myrtle Beach in the north to Hilton Head island in the south.
The Myrtle Beach area, known as The Grand Strand, which stretches 60 miles from the Brunswick Isles of North Carolina to the north to Pawleys Island to the south, boasts a remarkable 84 golf courses including some of the top golf courses in the state.
Just south of Myrtle Beach is the beautiful, unspoilt area of Pawleys Island, boasting some of the very best golf in South Carolina. We shall spend the winter enjoying our golf on the award winning Caledonia & Golf Club and True Blue Golf Plantation.
Around 90 minutes further south is the historic city of Charleston. There are some great golf courses in the area. You can stay in Downtown Charleston or at Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms which has two outstanding layouts, The Links and Harbor courses.
Just south of Charleston is Kiawah Island Resort. With five golf courses including the world famous Ocean Course, it truly is a golfing paradise.
Finally, not to be outdone, there is some fantastic golf on and around Hilton Head Island at the southern end of the South Carolina coast including Harbour Town Golf Links, venue of The Heritage Tournament on the PGA Tour.
